COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions we hear from first-time climbers
Do I need to be fit to start?
Not at all. Climbing builds fitness - you don't need fitness to climb. Our easiest routes are designed for complete beginners.
What if I'm scared of heights?
Bouldering is low to the ground (max 4 meters) with thick crash mats. Many people with height concerns find bouldering comfortable because you're never far from the ground.
Do I need to bring a friend?
Nope! Most people come solo. Bouldering is naturally social - you'll probably end up chatting with others anyway.
What should I wear?
Comfortable athletic clothes that you can move in. Avoid anything too loose that might get caught. We provide climbing shoes.
How long should I stay for my first visit?
Most first-timers stay 1-2 hours. Your forearms will probably get tired before you're ready to leave!
Is there an age limit?
We welcome climbers of all ages. Kids under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver.
WHAT CLIMBERS SAY
READY TO TRY IT?
The best way to find out if you'll love climbing is to give it a go. Most people are hooked after their first session.
